The Spongia Earrings take inspiration from the porous structures of sea sponges and coral. Open, irregular 925 sterling silver forms surround freshwater pearls, creating a contrast between marine texture and the smooth lustre of pearl. Sandblasted and mirror-polished areas add further depth to the sculptural surface.
